Opening Times
So you can plan with confidence, here’s exactly when to find us:
- 3rd December – 4th February – Our festive and winter menu graces the table throughout
- 21st December – 3rd January – Open daily, Monday to Sunday
- 25th December (Christmas Day) – Closed, so our team may spend the day with their own families
- 26th December (Boxing Day) – Speciallu curated menu – reservation only.
- 31st December (New Year’s Eve) – Our ticketed evening celebration, open to all – 100 tickets only
- 1st January (New Year’s Day) – Closed
- 2nd – 3rd January – Open as usual
- 4th – 20th January – Closed for our winter respite
We step away on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day so the people who make Butler Whites what it is can enjoy those days themselves – a small courtesy we think matters.
Winter Menu
From the 3rd of December until the 4th of February, our kitchen turns its attention fully to winter.
Expect the flavours of the season handled with a little more finesse than you’ll find elsewhere.
These menus are for long lunches with old friends, quiet dinners for two, and the family gatherings that mark the year’s turning.
Boxing Day
An Exercise in Doing Absolutely Nothing
The day after, the last thing anyone wants to do is return to the kitchen. So don’t.
Join us with your loves ones for a beautifully curated dinner built around our favourite traditions and flavours.
Boxing Day is by reservation only – early booking is encouraged.

New Year's Eve Party
We see out the year properly.
Our New Year’s Eve celebration is a ticketed evening, open to the public, with live music from some of Hull’s finest musicians threading through the night. Each ticket includes a welcome drink on arrival and a beautifully composed buffet done the Butler’s way.
The evening carries the energy of a dancefloor at its centre, yet seating and quieter corners remain available to reserve.
Tickets on sale now. Only 100 are available, and must be purchased by 21st December.
